Carnation LibraryNew Carnation Library Opens in January 2009

The Details:
Construction of the new 5,000 square foot Carnation Library at the site of the existing facility is underway. The new $2.98 million library is being constructed together with four other libraries using the design-build construction process.
The new library will include more materials, computers, space for children and teens and a community meeting room.

  • Project Status: In progress
  • Opening Date: January 31, 2009
  • New Library Address: Existing site, at 4804 Tolt Ave.
  • Contractor: BNBuilders, Inc.
  • Architect: Miller-Hull Partnership.
  • Service: During construction, patrons may pick up holds, use computers and access a small collection of materials at a temporary location at the nearby senior center, located at 4610 Stephens Avenue.
