The planning process to expand the existing Vashon Library at Ober Park to a total of 10,000 square feet is under way. The KCLS Board approved $6 million for the project.

Progress continues on the planning process for the expanded Vashon Library. The permit submittal package was recently accepted as complete by the King County Department of Development & Environmental Services (DDES). The review process may take 4-6 months, depending on responses and questions. In the meantime, KCLS and the project consultants will finalize the interior design and furniture selections.
