Library2GO!
Library2Go! Expands upon three of KCLS well established and highly successful outreach programs: The ABC Express bookmobiles that serve licensed child care centers and low income housing communities, the Traveling Library Center bookmobile that serves adults who are not able to visit their community library and TechLab, a mobile service that brings computer access and instruction to low income populations, refugee and new immigrant populations, ESL students, young adults and seniors.
The new Library2Go! service is critical because it will bring early literacy – the key to success in every child’s life – to licensed family childcare homes and licensed adult (senior) family homes. The new service will also reach into neighborhoods of poverty and deliver library services to low income housing communities and community centers, enriching the lives of children and families that are isolated from public libraries.
Donors of $50 or more will be acknowledged on bookplates in the Library2Go! collection and donors of $5,000 or more will be also be recognized on the exterior of the four mini-bookmobiles.
